Kakarsberget is located near Kauhala village, Kirkkonummi, in a recreation area owned by the city of Helsinki. The first routes were opened on early 90's but since then, the crag has seen only a little bit of traffic. A group of climbers started to develop the area again in the fall of 2008 and now the first three sectors offers 19 sport and 22 trad routes, grades ranging from 5a to 7b. The height of the crag varies from 8 to 14 meters. You'll find cracks, faces, chimneys and probably the biggest flake in Finland. Additionally, the crag is not far from the capital area.
