Slabby Solvalla cliff is situated beside the beautiful road to Nuuksio national park. Although there has been climbing activity since eighties, the newest routes have been established in -99. Despite of the coarse, finger tearing quality of Solvalla granit, the place is very popular. This is due to easy accessibility and grade range suitable also for the beginners. The cliff directs to south-west and has very open front so it dries incredibly fast after rain. Be aware that despite the fact that most routes are bolted, there are no anchors at top of all routes. Fixing of a top rope or belaying point to tree is the only option in some cases. The most popular route is probably 'Jupintappaja' 6 (6b).

Update: many routes were rebolted and re-anchored on summer 2002!
