Does anyone know who placed the bolts at Kauhala and whether what was climbed using them was ever recorded? I first climbed there in 1997 and at least some of the bolts, presumably all of them, were there then so it must have been one of the earlier sites of climbing activity near Helsinki. My Mountainshop topo-book from the mid-90s also makes note of the cliffs but has no crag topo or information on individual routes.
Most of the bolts are top anchors, presumably for top roping but there is one rather good looking line there, which is bolted and has a lower off at the top. It looks hard and the bolts are quite far apart so I haven't tried it - but does anyone know what name and grade it is and who did the FA?
Jody has made a topo for one section of the cliff with one of my photos and it looks good. I'd be quite happy to try and 'topo' the rest of the cliff if we could get some info on what has and hasn't been done there over the years. There is some decent climbing there, and it's not too far a drive from HEL, so a topo might be useful.
