Just moved to Vantaa from Maine, USA. I love to ice climb but was not sure how much ice climbing there is here or what kind of ice climbing community there is. I have not had my gear shipped here yet because of that. I also do not speak any Finnish yet as I arrived at the start of the month. Curious who climbs and how much ice there is. You can contact me here or at email@example.com Kiitos

It really depends a bit of the year and temperatures, usually there should be snow by now in southern Finland as well.
Anyhow, almost every year there is atleast some ice in Espoo, Nuuksio, which is not too far from Vantaa.
If you enjoy getting into the car and travelling a bit, there's a couple of nice places within couple of hours drive.
One could argue, but many agree that the nicest ice in Finland is in the northern parts of Finland in Korouoma. But then you're speaking about a weekend trip, since the driving does take some time
I'm not really much of an ice climber myself (atleast yet), so some of the icie's here will propably give you a more detailed answer.
Anyway, welcome to Finland
