I can't remember a period this bad for ice climbing in the six winter I've spent in Finland.
Well, two years back it was really bad since there was no water... I think the only practical solution will be changing location to the Alps or Norway. Or Alaska.
FYI: For some reasons one country in Scandinavia seems always to be forgotten, Iceland. I was living there last winter and based on discussions with locals (I do not climb ice myself), the beginning of last season was very good. Enough water there is always, weather is, well, unpredictable.
This was just as a hint for those trying to find something new ...
